Use Folder Lock for stored exports, not CSV semantics
NewSoftwares describes encrypted lockers and related file-protection workflows. That may protect selected stored CSV exports on a compatible Windows system after current behavior and recovery are tested. It does not add a password field to CSV, govern a SaaS export, authorize recipients, validate imports or guarantee backup and password recovery.
Control every copy and transition
- 01Verify the current edition, compatibility, price and licensing from official sources.
- 02Test synthetic CSV import, locker access, relock and export on the target workstation.
- 03Inspect Downloads, temp, preview and sync locations for plaintext residue.
- 04Create and restore a separately stored recovery copy before relying on the product.
- 05Compare with managed endpoint encryption, access-controlled storage and transfer alternatives.
Keep evidence without duplicating the data
Document product and OS version, source, price-check date, test dataset, locker settings, plaintext locations, backup dependency, restore result, authorized users and exit plan.
Stop and investigate when
- Marketing artwork is treated as proof of current functionality.
- Folder protection is described as in-file CSV encryption.
- One locker is treated as SaaS access control or complete backup.
Protection lives outside the CSV format
Does not replace provider permissions, guaranteed backup, password recovery or enterprise identity management. Validate source permissions, destination controls, derived files and plaintext residue separately.

CSV protection questions
Does Folder Lock password-protect the CSV format itself?
No. It can protect selected files or containers; the extracted CSV remains plain text.
Are these product images current interfaces?
They are supplied legacy marketing materials. Verify the installed version and real behavior.
